Inconceivable!

So i'm bumpin' around this morning checking some of the fave's and i ran across this from my wonderful (and talented) blogmom. There are just some people that when they leave the planet also leave a vacuum of wisdom and love that one finds difficult, if not impossible to replace. My own Grandpa being one of those. Anyhoo, in the comment section, conversation swung down another path...about birth...and further...conception. Obviously, here in The Kingdom, conception is a...hmmmmm how shall i say...common thing. Well...was. It got me to thinking..."You know, i've always considered myself as a late October baby, as the residual effect of a particularly good box of chocolates and some roses on Valentine's Day." Turns out...i was right.

What event were YOUR parents celebrating?

I understand I was a "HOT Fall day in Yellowstone". Guess I should be happy they didn't name me Yogi...my brothers did call me Boo Boo, but I think that had another meaning !!

Maybe I was a birthday present for my mom. And what is wrong with the name BooBoo?

Honey: yeah...maybe we should call you Boo Boo...MamaLou kinda likes it.

MamaLou: Birthdays are ALWAYS a good reason.

Shoot--apparently we don't even need birthdays around our house to have a good reason. How about after OU killed TT in a football game and then along came Leah......:)

The nearest thing I can see that my parents would have been celebrating would have been Allied troops entering Cherbourg on June 26th, 1944. I'm sure it was something else... perhaps the fact my Army Air Corps father was back in the US and not still in England. :D

You were very close...though the game wasn't...it was a 77-0 trip to the 'shed for A&M...and the festivities began.

Uncle Buck: Cherbourg would've been appropriate...that was a giant leap. That coupled with the fact your dad was stateside, well...why not!?

hmmmm, I'll have to inquire of the King's Mother. Since I was popped out Dec 15th nothing particularly was being celebrated in early to mid-March. this could be interesting.

Alright, alright, ALRIGHT. So I'm a Christmas baby. Somebody must've liked what was under the tree.

Probable Date of Ovulation: December 28
Possible Dates of Conception: December 24 to January 1
