By Order of The Queen...

Subtitled: Of Parties, Puke, Poop, Pee and...

The Queen threatened to stop reading/checking if i didn't write something and had actually given me the idea a couple days ago...so...

I know its been...awhile...and i'm sorry...but i have good reason. The past eight days have been filled with...alot...some good some bad...i'll try to keep this as brief as possible.

The trailhead sign begins at HRH's birthday last Saturday. We had planned to have a big bash at the bowling alley with many of her friends that she had invited by her own hand. Your sixth birthday party is a pretty big deal. So when i woke up that morning with some really strange but really intense chest pain that would NOT go away as it had the past couple days, i thought partying might be in jeopardy. After about an hour or so of deliberation i decided to go to the hospital and after all the bad tests, the good doctor decided it was pleurisy...blech...we are all glad it wasn't anything else...but it's kinda scary when you can't take a deep breath...at all.

The plan was that i would get up...bake and decorate the cake and have everything ready by party time at 2 pm. With my little medical adventure that time got contracted considerably. BUT...we (The Queen, The Grammy, The Grampy, and Uncle K and Auntie T)...gotRdun.

We have a SIX YEAR OLD...wow...and i never thought i would get married...now, four beauties later...Here's a couple pics for the record...

So there's Saturday at a glance...and believe me...i could spend some time on that day...but a glance is all i can afford right now.

Sunday and Monday were fairly uneventful and relaxing, spending time with Uncle K and Auntie T and letting the Royals bounce all over them for a few days, from which both parties benefited.

Tuesday morning began status quo...and then...a little before nine i started feeling a little weird, i thought, "i'm just gonna lay down here on the couch, and let whatever this is pass, and we'll get going a little late."

45 minutes later...

I'm in the throneroom making a serious impression of the space shuttle but going nowhere. I ended up being in and out of said throneroom every 20-30 minutes for the next four or five hours...and there was NOTHING solid about my rocket boosters...and when i say 'nothing' i mean NUH-THING...if you beheaded a fire plug, inverted the whole scene added some sewer water coloring, that would cover it. I tried to stay ahead of the hydration process, but it was not to be, i'm pretty sure i just lost too much too fast and took the next few days to recover what i had lost on Tuesday...it laid me out...literally. So...while i'm semi-conscious on the couch Tuesday night/Wednesday morning about 1 a.m. i hear someone passing behind me sobbing...then i hear some discussion in the bedroom and a light come on...more intense sobbing/discussion all i caught was..."...he threw up in my hair..." and that he did. I never saw it...but The Prince had yakked a LOAD into HRH's curly locks. So The Dutiful Queen washed hair and changed bedding from 1 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.

2:45 a.m. The Royal Bedchamber
HRH awakes and says, "Mama, i don't feel very good."
"Do you need to throw up?"
"Ye...mmmm...hmmmmm!" Blankets fly...
The Queen at least got her into the throneroom before HRH transformed into Vesuvius. There was head holding and wrenching for a few minutes until rest ensued...at least for HRH...The Queen had cleaning up to do. This event reproduced itself a couple more times.

7:00 a.m The Royal Bedchamber
The Prosecutor had wandered in sometime between 5:30 and 7:00 a.m. and had lay close to The Queen...no warning whatsoever...she raises straight up and St. Helens' on the bed...fortunately all of the shrapnel landed directly on some sweats The Queen had discarded during the night.

8:00 a.m. Bedchamber of The Prince and The X
The Queen enters to find The X laying quietly in his crib with his nightie covered in a gray-green very smelly film...another kid to wash and bedding to change.

Later that morning i was feeling well enough to keep the Royals quiet and busy enough to give her a few hours of respite.

Thankfully, The Queen is the only one who never got it...maybe a glancing blow but not the full fury...how she did it i can only ascribe to the mercy of the Lord. The Royals all have rebounded fairly quickly...it took until yesterday (Friday) about noon for me to feel 'normal' again.

The only repercussions we seem to be dealing with at this point is The Prince is having some pre-potty trained reversion and The X is either cutting some more teeth or still has some intestinal bugs running around, some of them out of his diaper and down his legs. Other than that we are back to normal...or i suppose i should say...

Peace.

i'll be back...a little more frequently now that that's all over...i don't write well when i'm sick...heh apparently i don't write at all...

Ahhh... nothing says "I'm back" better than a good puke/poop post. Hope everybody's intestines are doing better.

Nice, descriptive, presentation of being sick. Glad it hasn't hit this household to that extent.

I'm sorry to have missed the big B-Day bowling event. I cannot believe they make bowling shoes for 2 yr. olds. What fun!

I'm not commenting on the P&P part of the post.
