It always wigs me out when i don't write in a week's time...its like..."where did the time go...why didn't i write about THAT?" Events in life have disappeared and only something said, seen, heard, or smelled may bring it back and i'll get it down before it is gone again...but for now...a few pictures will suffice.
I so meant to wish you all a Happy St. Paddy's Day...so here's a belated... i knew i wouldn't get them to say Slainte' so i had'em say "BEER!" As you can see, its a genetic happy thought...
Funny thing about that pic and completely unintended...in the background there is a pic on a digital frame from last years St. Paddy's Day celebration, we (well...I) hosted a whisky tasting evening to celebrate Succat's Day. Isn't it interesting that Ireland's most famous individual is actually SCOTTISH?! Anyhoo...here's the pic in its full glory...
I did make the Irish Soda Bread again this year. Except this time i used the wheat recipe...it was waaaaaaaay better than the plain ole white one. Of course i made Shepherd's Pie! i was short the red wine so i used what one is SUPPOSED to use...BEER! Oh and i did cheat and used homestyle pork rib meat instead of the traditional beef and lamb...maybe next year. I am partial to some well stewed lamb. BTW...if you don't have a recipe for ISB...click the link...its very good and VERY traditional as you'll see by the quality of the webpage and the heritage of the writer.
OK for the grand finale'...captured below is a drawring (by the British pronunciation) by The Drama Princess on her schoolwork today. Lemme interpret this for you...
Obviously, you get the wheels and engines, door and jetway...what you DON'T know is that the 'drivers' are right there inside the front windows...the plane's number is 40 in case you didn't know...and yes, that IS Jack imagining Mike being happy to see him when he gets to the airport in the plane.
And here's some great ideas for next year's St. Paddy's Day attire if you were a'needin'em....my favorite? tough one...maybe "Irish Girl, the best drinking buddy a guy could have." Of course, "They're always after me lucky charms" is pretty daggone funny.

I can not believe how big Noah has gotten! They grow up so fast!
Ashley gives away the fact that she has not been making the blogging round.
Cute picture! I bet they get more than their fair share of kisses. And not just Hershey's, either.
Great pics!
There's an amazing sort of synchronicity between your liquor cabinet (as pictured) and mine... didja know that? :D
