Takin' shots...

My apologies dear rubberneckers...my hiatus has not been voluntary. I made mention earlier of battling the messenger of Satan, that ever eeevyl Haydes Feverus. Well today, as Big Bro encouraged (after two weeks of feeling like the entire front of my head was going to pull a Murrah building)...i finally broke down and got- THE SHOT. I'm not one for shots, i'm not scared of them...its not the pain issue for me...i've had mosquitoes hit me harder than that today...its just that whole picture of injecting something foreign into my body that makes me shudder. I suppose that fact alone negates me from hard core ellicit drug addiction.

I was not alone in the cutaneous metallic enema endeavor...The X-Man had his 4 month visit today...and all the niceties that go along with those 'first six months' appearances at the pediatrician. Strip down, poke, prod, cold things on chest, in ear, bright things in eyes... "Hey! Do ya gotta...OWW!!" Of course, i'm certain they don't compare with those visits of the latter years of our lives as men, which i am NOT looking forward to...he did just fine, one shot for each leg. He took it like a...young man, and winced on the second one...but that was about it. He's an epicurean 14 lbs. 14 oz. now and 26 inches...and since Dr. Sooner is a big growth pattern guy, you'll be happy to know The X is center holing the entire spectrum.

Anyway, just letting y'all know, it's 5:00 and i'm feeling MUCH MUCH better...steroids ain't all that bad after all. Yeah i'm all 'roided up now, somehow i don't have the urge to go chainsaw on the nearest tree though.
