A tantalizing puzzle...

After helping The Queen with the mixin's an makin's of a panful o'fudge schnockered brownies and wistfully waiting for them to cool...Princess #2 proposes a thinker...

With a twist of the nose and tilt of the head...

"Are brownies boys or girls?"

Well...what say you?

Hum that is a interesting question. I would say brownies are girls. I really don't know why.

yeah, My guess would be personal preference. Possibly on a childs perspective kinda like toys, just fun to have around and use your imagination!
Wow, just out of curiosity what's the little princesses conclusion on the matter :)

i'm withholding her determination until more nominations are submitted. Not that she is necessarily THE authority on food gender, i just don't want to "poison the well" so to speak.

Brownies are Girls. It's obvious, from the ingredients. There aren't any snips, snails, or puppy dog tails in brownies.

Not the ones I eat, anyway. ;-)

C'mon DOP you gotta commit!

Wow...its leaning heavily towards the female persuasion.

I may need to make this a poll question.

Girl. It is chocolate. Although... since it is girls who enjoy it so much, the power of chocolate, then it could be a boy.

My vote... girl. Besides, Brownie sounds so feminine. I don't see a big masculine guy coming up and sayin in a deep husky voice as he extends his hand for a handshake, "My name is Brownie." That would be kind of like saying, "My Name is Sue! How do you do?"

Heh.

Looks like the girls have it. The popular vote went that way, and the electoral pre-school indicated the same. Therefore and henceforth brownies shall be...girls. And not just in the pre-Girlscout genre.

Aha... question of the day. It all depends on whether you make them with walnuts or not!

Funny, my dad said almost the same thing...
