If "a picture is worth a thousand words"...then this must be worth at least "War and Peace"...i caught this moment this morning...

Jameson has been walking for about 2 weeks now. We caught him on occasion taking steps between the couches and now its come to this. The other day i coaxed him from the chair in our living room all the way into our bedroom, which was about 15'. Yesterday, i was cleaning and organizing the girls room and i watched him walk from their room, around the corner and partially into the living room before practicing the head first slide into 3rd. This morning he was getting pretty bold and took a header into the corner of the chair. Fortunately, its fairly softly padded although it is firm underneath the cushion, so stoppable force met immovable object and the lesson was learned, "Never ski faster than your ability... trees hurt". Although, i'm not so sure the lesson will stick when he really does strap on the skis, it never did me any good. Of course i never got a natural pine bark tattoo on my face...although there were times...

Princess #2 is mastering the use of the Royal Facility. She has been dry and clean for working on 3 days! Save the nightly extra protection, she has been wearing big girl skivvies and loving it. They went to "The Store" on Sunday evening and came back with two new packs of girly things. Princess #1 proudly displayed her new "My Pretty Pony" panties by immediately shedding her pants, donning her new "Ponies" and shaking her groove thang. Princess #2 was more discreet, as her M.O. normally dictates, she waited until Monday morning to switch on the highbeams and flash us that smile that brightens any day when she put hers on for the first time. Oh yeah, about the shopping spree. The Queen announced that she needed to go get a few things for a breakfast bake she was cooking for work on Monday morning, and asked if the Princesses wanted to go...well obviously the scrambling began. Leah emerges from "the Princess Chamber", swaggers leisurely by me and just as casually as her gait, "We're going shopping with Mama...bye". It was just the way, as always, she SAYS IT, she is SO demonstrative and dramatic. Its the shimmer in her eyes intermingled with her very expressive smile and the musical words that fall from her lips that make the whole experience the comedy that it is. Leah is a VERY funny girl, yet she is also VERY deeply sincere, its a beautiful fusion of personality and spirit... we wouldn't have it any other way.

The girl thang is always interesting. Jesse was very much a girl when she was younger. She refused to wear anything but dresses and little matching shorts sets along with her Jellys. I often wondered whose child she was. Through the years she evolved to what you see now. You will have many eras to go through with your girls and there will never be a dull moment.
