The Big A was mentioned in the list. I did a bio report on Thomas Edison when i was in elementary. I remember that he HATED school and finally dropped out. I'm pretty certain he was HS'd after that. My guess is, the world would be a bit different without him...and Al Einstein. If you ever get the chance...check out the movie Vitus...the Flying Dutchman has it.
I've always maintained that the notion of a free public education is a broken and misrepresented idea.
But then again, getting stuffed into lockers and toilets by big, redneck seniors when you are in the eighth grade tends to rapidly develop character.
