I can't believe how little time i've made to write...its like school just drains my creative side. I get done with school, and i need to move on to the next thing, and never make time to write. Well...I'm makin time today!
Saturday night i couldn't think of a better thing to do than sit out on the back porch with The Queen and all four Royals, fire up the chimichanga and roast some dogs. There's nothing like a clear, calm Fall evening outside beside a warm cracklin fire, and giggling kids dunking sizzling hot dogs en brochette into the grey ashes under titian coals. Its those moments that gentrify the soul.
So we cooked, burnt, laughed, and ate. At the site of the first star, we recited "Star light, star bright..." with ketchup on our jeans, and mustard on our lips. We listened to the coyotes prattle at the distant passing train while the Royals joined the chorus, even The X. We went through about a dozen hot dogs and a half a loaf of bread, and knocked out the majority of 2 liters of Sprite in plastic Disney cups... contented with watching the sky move from azure to indigo to diamond dotted obsidian blue. Yup...i do loves me some Fall evenin's...but the presence of Royalty makes it heaven.

Nice Bro, thank your for taking care of my nieces and nephews and making memories.
After I finished working in our home office on Saturday, I went out to the back yard and started a fire myself! I've been saving up limbs, wood scraps from a construction project earlier this year. It was really nice just enjoying the out of doors, the smell of smoke, and fire. I had some big logs and they smoldered until late yesterday evening. I looked out this morning and still saw a little wisp of smoke still risin'.
Wow... This is just the very picture (and narrative, heh) of domestic tranquility. Life is good, innit?
