Taking on water...

Swim class tonight. Just your average Tuesday night. HRH is doing well in the advanced class impressing the instructors, the Prosecutor is probably going to move into the advanced class next week having impressed her instructors by overcoming her feigned inabilities due to shyness and maybe a little confidence issues. The Prince will hang out where he is, but i did rat him out tonight when i told the instructor that he CAN swim underwater, and was doing pretty well last summer before we took the pool down for the season. To which the light went on in her eyes like, "OHHHH I get it, he's been sandbaggin'." I think the playtime is over for him at swim class.

Fast forward to the postclass debriefing in the showers. The norm is...i take The Prince to the Men's locker room and The Queen then takes the girls to theirs. We, on our side, had a much better outcome, with the water actually being hot this time. I was hoping he wouldn't have mental scars from the last time where i could NOT get the shower to ever run anything even close to lukewarm and his lips turned blue by the time he got out. No, this time he just stood under the nice warm water and enjoyed the chlorine runoff.

The Queen informed me later of the outcome in the other shower...

HRH and The Prosecutor entered the showers with The Queen in tow. She turns on the water, checks the temp and being fully clothed and holding The X, pulls the curtain to let them soap up and clean off. Thinking this an opportune time to take care of some business of her own she turns and proceeds out of the shower area...only to come to full stop that would give most whiplash, when HRH announces to the ENTIRE ladies locker room...

"MAMA! MY BOOBIES ARE GROWIN!"

As elegantly as possible The Queen laughs and states, "No...they're not...we are so not ready to start that yet."

That day will come. GBN2 refers to her's as "moles" which may or may not be better than GBN1 who says "milks."

Unlike Buck, I can imagine what's in store for you. Heh, heh, heh. :-D If you need to borrow a shotgun or baseball bat, let me know. Dating's a ways off yet, I'm sure, but I can't wait to read about that experience when it comes. I don't think my daughter's ever noticed that I made a regular point of meeting their new boyfriends at the door wearing a black, long-sleeved tee with a HALO emblem on the breast and an I-can-kill-you-with-my-bare-hands look in my eye. Or . . . maybe they did. Either way, it made me feel better.

Wahahahahahaha! I read this at the office and thought I would just about lose it! That is riotous!
Of course the Prince face first in the pile of laundry brought a few snickers too! These kids will be so thankful when they get older that you've taken these fantastic "Kodak moments"
