Barbarian Hordes...

Silently, stealthily enemies have crept into our camp. Fortunately, we caught one early, the other has been present for some time and wreaked some reparable havoc. Having now been identified we have sent them on their way.

HRHTDP has somewhere, somehow contracted influenza -B. The incubation period ranges anywhere from one to two weeks, so there are a number of possibilities. My conclusion...McCDC (Center for Disease Circulation) where we ended up going twice last week. I'm certain that INDOOR play area was sanitized regularly with a high dose of Microban. Regularly being once every, say...month or 7. She was not well yesterday, very lethargic and weepy.

P2 has been having alot of trouble getting to sleep at night and complaining during the day of headaches. These symptoms have been present for a couple weeks, but we thought that it may have been some type of attention getter since there was no accompanying fever or anything sympomatic of something more serious.

Nonetheless, we decided to take a trip to the expert. Besides, the good Dr. L is a pretty cool guy and fun to talk to. Of course, they are pulling their hair out with this damnable flu epidemic running full throttle through the nations adults and children. Had i realized the extent...McCDC would've been regarded as Contact Isolation for us.

Sure enough, he gave us the news....HRHTDP has contracted influenza -B and P2 has a middle ear infection. Blech! So we got the normal Rx for 1o days of antibiotic for P2 and of course in bubble gum flavor its all good with her. Interesting thing about her...she had a bout with this as a baby, the antibiotic had almost immediate effective relief. This case being no exception, almost immediate signs of the girl we know. She's back to asking a thousand questions a minute, to which she already knows the answers to.

Thankfully, HRHTDP is doing MUCH better today. Like i said, enemy identification is half the battle. She is well on the way to full recovery. I'm confident that tomorrow she'll be full throttle herself.

The Prince? He may possibly have the -B strain too. He's been a full whineskin for about two weeks. It was driving us freaking crazy until the diagnostics came in on The Drama Princess. Now i think we've identified that little riddler, it will be shown the door too. I have a little more patience with him now, knowing he's probably in some pain...i had a killer headache yesterday, i think it might have been an associate of -B. It was the kind that made my right eye flutter as if closing down like a window blind. So, if that's what he's been dealing with, i completely understand.

Quote of the Day came from HRHTDP upon seeing a Subway commercial...her synopsis of the motto...

"Eat French"

Now THAT'S my girl!

Oh Jay! I'm so sorry. It was two weeks ago I had that crud. Got over it in a week, but then the winning team refused to clear the field. Result, lost the voice about Friday of last week. Finally went to see the Doc on Tuesday and am now taking steroids for the first time ever, but still talking in a whisper. Maybe by next week... I sure hope the little one's better soon. In the meantime, one good gift deserves another. Here's a little something to take your mind off sickness.
