Every once in a great while, a cover comes along that may possibly be better than the original. Case in point, Van Morrison's Into The Mystic is one of my all time faves...but when i happened upon these two doing it...well...
As a post script...if you have never seen the movie Once, its worth the purchase price.

Doc hasn't written much since taking a job as a Dean (he'd barely gotten used to "Doctor" Campbell, so "Dean" Campbell is gonna take a while yet), partly because he doesn't have time to read his buddies' blogs. Considering how hard he laughs at people who say, "Oh I don't _read_ poetry, I just write it," he's a little self-conscious about blogging when he doesn't have time to read the other great blogs out there. Like the Piper's. Listen to the man. See the movie.

My favorite cover? Stevie Ray Vaughan's cover of Hendrix's Little Wing. And that was only until I heard Sting's Spanish version (Mariposa Libre).
