As i sit here in my Cafe Au Lait induced morning high, amplified by the 66 degree breeze cleansing the kitchen...a robin is greeting the mist wrapped morning along with a variant chorus of other songbirds, and Jimmy Buffett softly recollecting memories about "Little Miss Magic".
I've already been chided not once but twice by local barfly's for the lack of morning fare at the waterin' hole. The first being a chickadee, who approached while i was eating my own breakfast of Fuji pieces and peanut butter. I was sitting not five feet from the feeder when he lit on the bar, found it wanting, and as he flitted away uttered something akin to a muttering curse directed at me. The next was minutes later when a wren hopped ever so close looking for a little morsel...nothing...and squeaked very unhappily away. I suppose i should pacify the patrons.
Not too many of these mornings left in summertime Oklahoma, so we imbibe deeply while we are able. The Queen, towel enveloped, walked in after her rites of morning and in the wash of the cool, sultrous river of air flowing in from the open backdoor, "Only in pregnancy can i enjoy this 63* breeze....aaaaaaaah that feels SO gooooood." Per Dio, she looks so beautiful with her bio-basketball protrusion...sometimes its hard not too squeeze her too tightly nowadays. Not too many of these days left either. There are some things we will both miss about pregnancy...but that post is to come all too soon.
The heavy condensation of the night tears from the eave of the roof like drops of Jupiter, and the sounds of playtime laughter float through the house from the front yard lightening any heaviness found here. Yes, its summer...
Looks like the chickadee found some dregs after all...

What a brilliant pic of The Royals! And "Drops of Jupiter," too.
Wow.
The tent picture is cute
Give me 20 min, the post should be up and you're tagged!
Toby and I sat out the other morning enjoying the coolness at the Lazy B. You are right, not too many more mornings like that for a while unless you get before first light.
