This came via the Elder Kingdom today. Brought back some good, good bygone days when we rolled up these trails ourselves, i've spent a few nights at 11,000 feet in Yankee Boy and lemme tell'ya, you can touch the stars there, and there's alot more of'em...
enjoy!
I guess i should put this little caveat in at this point...if you didn't have any vacation destinations in mind for the summer...you will after this.

I get the feeling that none of my three vehicles would be at home on this road... ;-)
Great scenery, tho!
Way Cool Piper! I want to go on a road trip.
Beautiful!
P.S. I tagged you. See my blog for more details. You do not have to play though.
I have been down this awesome road many times in a Ford Van, a Dodge pickup, a motorhome & out in the cool crisp air on a motorcycle. It was the memory of being on the bike that came front & center in the core of my being as I found myself swaying around the corners, smelling the sweet aromatic fragrance of the beautiful Colorado Pines. I could feel the spray of the rushing waterfall as it hit on the huge rocks below on those occasions that we would stop & drink in the mountain vistas as they lay all around us. We have stopped along the side of the road while Kevin & Jay left their mark in the shape of snow angels. The times we rented jeeps & took the breath taking trails up to heights that I understood how one could actually drop off the face of the earth & no one would ever find you. On times like these it seemed all I had to do was reach up & touch God & thank Him for creating such beauty. All He had to do was trail His finger along to tunnel out the deep gorges, press here & push there to make the majestic San Juan Mountains. Colorado is at the top of the list of one of God's masterpieces & one of our favorite places. The King met his Queen, who is from there, & we now have living, breathing, wriggling little Coloradokies for royal grandchildren. Winter Woman
Yum, reminds me of our trips thru Alaska's Brooks Range many moons ago!
Yes, I'd say a road trip thru here is quite desirable right about now.
