Cyberspace Spongecake...

T minus 5...4...3...2...1...we have ignition...and...lift off!!! Separation complete...Houston...the Palmer's have re-entered cyberspace.

WHAT A HARROWING EXPERIENCE!! Life without Food.com and all my blogreads...is...well, strenuous...i had to work to fill the time! AND THEN, i get my computer back and its COMPLETELY wiped clean!!!! Sure i got a new motherboard and hard drive, but ALL my faved websites, a majority of recipes i hadn't hardcopied, some journalling, some reports i had written for my real job, OUR BUDGET FOR THE LAST YEAR...GONE! No, "Mr. Palmer, this is Geek Squad informing you that with your consent we would like to...ohh yes, sir, that means you will lose everything you've worked the last couple years to maintain on your computer. But with your consent, and $457.98, we'd be glad to back that up for you." Oh well, life goes on. Speaking of, i've got an e-mountain of pics to upload for your viewing pleasure. I was planning on writing about The Prince's first birthday, but obviously that didn't get done. Ironically, we just had he and Princess #2's birthday party this last weekend so it kinda works out.

As you can see from the pics, THE POOL is fully functional!!! Its even blue at this point!! When we first filled it, it was a beautiful shade of lake water green, due to the incredible amounts of said water runoff in the system. But NOW, due to some heavy shock treatments you can see the difference. I'm thinking at the end of the season you should all come over, and i'll drain about a 1/4 of the water, fill it back up with some 100% blue agave tequila, add about 200 lbs of limes, a 300 pounds of sugar, throw in a ton of crushed ice, salt the entire rim of the pool, and we all go to Margaritaville. MamaLou, could you bring the spongecake? I'll take a collection for the shrimp and call these guys and we can have our own little hurrican party, right here in south central Oklahoma. Well, the Prince just woke up from his post lunch nap and needs attention. Rest assured, there will be more later, i've got a lot of catchin up to do. Until then, in the immortal words of Jimmy Buffett...

"Nibblin' on sponge cake,
watchin' the sun bake;
All of those tourists covered with oil.
Strummin' my six string on my front porch swing.
Smell those shrimp
They're beginnin' to boil."

You know the rest.

Sounds sticky! Glad you are up and running again. I posted a pic of the party last week and may do some more.
